The SampleSauce plugin interface

The actual interface

One window. Zero menus.

Pick a move, flip its switch, turn the knob. That's the whole manual.

SampleSauce with the Space module selected: reverb and delay knobs, delay sync, and the seven-move chain on the left
01

Drag to reorder

Grab the ≡ and move any effect up or down. Audio runs top to bottom — halftime last, filter first, whatever the flip needs.

02

One knob each

Every move is dialed to sound right the moment you touch it. Shift-drag for fine control, double-click to reset.

03

Save your sound

Six starter presets, plus write your own — they save your settings and your chain order, and follow you into every session.

Hear it before you buy

Seven moves. Press play.

Hit Play on any move, then flip Effect / Original to A/B the difference. (Clipper's on a drum loop; the rest on a melodic one.)

01
Half speed

Halftime

Drop a sample an octave and stretch it to half-speed, locked to your tempo. One mix knob.

02
Low & high pass

Filter

Two knobs — low pass to darken, high pass to thin. Add resonance for bite.

03
Wow & flutter

Vinyl

Tape and vinyl pitch wobble — just the warm warble, no hiss or crackle to clean up.

04
Tape & tube

Saturate

Warm it, then push it to grit. Anti-aliased, so it stays musical even when you slam it.

05
Reverb & delay

Space

A clean reverb and a tempo-synced delay, blended to taste with two knobs.

06
Soft & hard

Clipper

One knob sweeps soft saturation to a brickwall ceiling. Tames peaks and fattens — shown here on drums.

07
Volume shaper

LFO

Tempo-synced volume movement — smooth tremolo to hard rhythmic gating. 1/16 to 1/3.

No overclaiming

What it is. What it isn't.

What it is

  • ✓An algorithmic processor that delivers the behavior of classic studio moves with proven DSP.
  • ✓Built for sample-based producers working with loops, breaks, and chopped vocals.
  • ✓One knob per move — fast to dial in, light enough to run on a laptop.
  • ✓A one-time purchase with free updates. No subscription.

What it isn't

  • ✕Not a component-level circuit model of any specific hardware.
  • ✕Not captured from real gear — no impulse responses or reference files.
  • ✕Not a mixing-engineer suite. The EQ and channel-strip clutter is left out on purpose.
  • ✕Not trying to replace a mastering chain for a $50k studio.

Who made this

Built by an artist and producer.

I'm Sungwoo. I've been making music for over a decade — it started in my garage in Fort Lee, New Jersey, making beats with my college floormate pH-1. I produced five tracks on his mixtape; Jay Park saw the video, signed him, and one of my beats landed on his debut EP for a major Korean label. Since then I've performed at KCON three times and been featured on Korean national TV.

After more sessions than I can count, I kept reaching for the same seven moves to flip a sample — and kept paying the "setup tax" of stacking plugins to do it. So I built them into one.

The moves I actually use, one knob each, nothing else.

Questions

Asked & answered.

Will it work in my DAW?

Yes — SampleSauce ships as VST3 and AU, so it runs in Logic, Ableton, FL Studio, GarageBand, and any DAW that supports those formats. Mac (AU + VST3) and Windows (VST3).

Do I need to know mixing or music theory?

No. Every move is a single knob. If you can turn it until it sounds good, you can use it — there are no menus to learn and no manual to read.

Can I change the order of the effects?

Yes — drag any move up or down in the chain and the audio runs top to bottom in that order. Filter before saturation, halftime last, whatever your flip needs. Your order saves with the session.

Can I save my own presets?

Yes. Hit “+ Write Preset,” name it, done. Your presets save every knob, every switch and your chain order, and they show up in every session and every DAW.

I'm in Own Your Masters — do I get it free?

Yes. During launch, course students get SampleSauce free. It'll be added to the course as a bonus lesson when SampleSauce launches. Can't find it? Email sungwoo@heysungwoo.com.

What if it's not for me?

30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Put it on a real beat — if it doesn't earn a spot in your chain, email me for a full refund.

Do I pay again for updates?

Never. It's a one-time purchase with free updates for life. No subscription, no “pro tier.”
