How do I start making beats as a complete beginner?
Get a free or cheap DAW (GarageBand, FL Studio, Logic, or Ableton), sign up for Splice, and build your first beat with four loops in order: melody, drums, bass, texture. That’s the exact method this course teaches. Module 1 starts from zero, and most students finish their first beat the same day.
Can I make beats without knowing music theory?
Yes. I created this course so you don’t need any theory. After a decade of producing — including tracks on a major Korean label — I simplified everything into a method built on Splice loops. If you can drag and drop, you can make beats.
Can I copyright music made with AI?
Not if it’s fully AI-generated. The U.S. Copyright Office only protects work with meaningful human authorship, so a beat a machine made for you generally can’t be copyrighted. Beats you build yourself from loops are your own creative work.
Do I own beats I make with Splice loops?
Yes. Splice loops are royalty-free and pre-cleared. When you build a beat from them, you own the master recording and your copyright. No splits, no lease agreements, no permission needed.
